Decided to take the pontoon out for some trout fishing, go to store to get the basics,. Something to drink, something to nibble on and some worms! They were out of worms, go figure! Have to use power bait and eggs then. Put in at lake 12 about 9:30 fished untill 11:00am. Lots of Lilly pads to get though from boat launch but the pontoon went though it easy.plan was to row to other end of lake as the wind was blowing slightly. Figured to drift Down wind ! Got out to about 20ft of water and saw fish on hummingbird finder. Changed plan and put down anchor.still fished power bait and red eggs. Had four or five hits losing bait because not paying attention. Finally held pole in hand instead of pole holder and caught 10in or so plant. Yeh first fist of the year. Caught two or three more about same size then decided to go back to original plan and rowed to upper end, but had eggs on line trolling while I rowed and caught a nice size sun fish. Finally did the slow drift and caught half dozen just using two egg on hook! Kept these three as they swallowed the hook and little bigger then rest. Fun day fishing! Now to rest for some Foosball action Tonite!!
