Still haven't caught any of the larger trout in Hicks but had another nice day trolling. Caught 4 on bait, kept 3 and released a 10 in. Took the bait off and trolled another hour without a hit. Then caught and released 3 more smaller RB's. Slapped another worm on and caught number 5 but couldn't put her in the boat. Number 5 went airborne about 4 times and put on a nice show before snapping off the hook at the boat. Oh well, owned my this time. Took home 3 all in the 13 in range. Saw lots of large marks straight across from the launch. Bigger fish seemed to be in the 15 ft depth. Beautiful day. All but 1 fish were caught on a homemade green and white wedding ring behind a Deadly Venom dodger, tipped with a piece of night crawler. Set-back was 147 ft with 1/4 oz weight. Trolling speed of 1.4 mph worked best. Tried LOTS of other offerings on pole # 2 but no love.
