My wife consented to chase walleyes today as long as we went out for breakfast first and waited until it warmed up a bit, neither condition unreasonable. We headed to the north end noting boats scattered throughout the lake. We had lines in the water by 10 AM working water 7-11'. Slow death rigs in chartreuse, green and orange with night crawlers were pulled at 1.0 MPH. It took 30-40 minutes until we pulled in a nice 21" eye. Over the next 3 hours we landed 8 keepers and 2 dinks. We lost another nice fish at the boat. The fishing was steady and the weather cooperated making it a nice outing.
