The target was Kokanee, but the catch was red hot for rainbows. Started about 6pm. I saw many schools on the finder, all over the lake. Near the red airplane, there were a few distinctly different looking deeper schools that turned out to be larger triploids. Those were caught at about 15 ft on the downrigger and the red hot action for 12 inch rainbows was right on top, 100ft back. Fish seemed to stack close to shore in 30 -60 ft of water. Tuna soaked corn was a big help, but I quit using bait right away, to legally catch and release the little ones....
No Kokanee were caught, darn it. The hottest combo was a silver/gold fst spoon for a dodger, followed 12 inches behind by a small greenish spinner hoochie with a clear plastic smile blade.
