Went to Lake WA with a couple friends, had a great time catching crappie all afternoon around structure. water temp was averaging 60 and the weather was cooperative. Our count was 54 crappie, 7 bluegill, 1 YP. We threw back a few and the biggest crappie of the day got away. Fun times though. Also micro jigs under a bobber did the trick today.

Reminds me of beer and Crappie weekend on Banks Lake last year. 11 friends all evening fishing for Crappie very quickly had a awesome bunch of beer fried strips of white meat. Awesome times looking forward to this year.

Nice mess of Specs there. I 'm to Seattle & ready to do a little fishing. Looking for some place where I could catch Crappie and or Smallmouth either from shore or with a small kayak. I know it asking a lot, but I would love to have some hints on where to start. I promise I won't keep many!

My suggestion is Lake WA for the next couple weeks as they are in the shallows prepping for the spawn. Look for structure, weed growth, sunken logs, boat docks etc...
