Got stuck on campus writing a book report all day, and decided to try and catch my first bass on my new rod. I got to Blodel about 7:30, and fished for half an hour or so. Only one bite, and I hooked him. I was using a Lucky Craft Lightning Pointer in Ghost Minnow, got hit on the second cast with it. I tried a half ounce Strike King swim jig with a swimbait trailer on it for the first 20 minutes and didn't catch anything. I was limited to the shoreline so I couldn't get to more than a couple decent spots. Overall, it was a great evening!
