First time this year for me fishing Clear Lake today. No disappointments. Fished 6am to 10am...with calm conditions with only a few other boats around when I left. Caught and released 12 largemouth bass, the smallest being 2 pounds...no dinks! Got 6 bass over 4 pounds, with one being close to 8 pounds. Not many lily pads up yet - caught them along the shoreline or near pilings. Swim jig with a paddle tail trailer worked for me. A wonderful fishing day when all my big bass dreams came true! Sounds like a great day. I will have to go up there again I got two hits is all but was very windy last week.

Jamesb...I appreciate your passion for the sport...and your skill with the floating minnow! As a fellow small boat guy, I hate wind. Clear Lake especially sucks for me in the wind...boat control and casting to small targets gets almost impossible - and there are not a lot of places to hide out there. Definitely hit that place again with better conditions. There are a lot of trout biting there now too!

bothellbassman, I guess not quite all my bid bass dreams came true...so it's only a 4. I'm sure you've been hangin' some - hope to see you out there...across on the far other side of the lake, if you know what I mean. Good luck this season and take care.
