Launched from Honeysuckle with a stiff southerly breeze to nudge us along as we immediately began trolling north. Within a few minutes had a double on, which I converted, and then had several more bites before landing another. By 9 AM the bite died as a wind squall passed thru. Managed a couple more bites but nothing converted by 11 AM. Decided to start trolling back towards the ramp and started picking up a few fish and when the sun broke out the bite was wide open and I limited with 15 fish before 1 PM.
We found most of our fish in 30-40' of water with 60-90' of line out with 2 oz of weight but I even caught a fish with just my rod hanging over the side with 8' on the line counter at a dead drift! Paulina Peak Tackle Big I dodgers and microhoochies were the ticket most of the day tipprf with corn soaked in tuna oil. Silver and pink or orange were key in the cloudy weather but gold prevailed during the sunny mid-day bite. Great looking fish with some pushing 15".
