I launched the boat around 9 am and headed to the cove and drifted back towards the boat launch to see if I could scare up a bass while I waited for a friend to show up. I had a big fat one follow my crankbait but wouldn't bite. My friend showed up after my second drift and we started fishin for rainbows. We both were trolling pop gear with a worm behind it and soon after starting fish on! The plants this year are small but really put up a fun fight with light gear. All in all it was a good day on the water I ended up with four while my bubby skunked out...
