Got on the lake at about 2:00 and was pleased? to see the lake wasn't to choppy. Seems like it's annoyingly windy every day anymore. Started left of the launch and was shocked to see how clear the water was, I'm talking like 20 feet of visibility. Kinda cool for someone who doesn't have fancy electronics...was able to see structure I wasn't aware of in the past. Started off throwing moving ?baits switching between a swim jig and chatterbait. Made it to the first dock without any action and just had a feeling I should put on a red square bill, so I did. About 3 cast in I throw down the side of the dock..start reeling it and boom, fish on. Nice little fight and he ran about 2lbs. Worked the square bill until the next dock throwing a neko rig in between by the random pylons with no success. Saw a lot of movement though, between trout jumping and boils here and there. To the right of the dock with the diving board there is a huge rock which I was able to see because it was so clear. Now by the tennis Court I threw the neko rig near the lone pylon and as soon as it hits the water my line takes off and I instantly hookset. Again a nice little fight later and I land the 1.5lber. I start going fairly fast switching from the square bill and swim jig until I get to the house with the huge tree that fell down knowing the certain areas I wanna hit with the limited time I have. I work the area flipping a jig and throwing the swim jig parallel with the massive lay down, no success. Now I'm by the two huge lay downs and first cast with the neko I get hit and he takes off right for the tree. After fighting him away from the tree I land him and another 1.5. I then dart over to the other side of the lake where all the pylons stand cause I feel the storm coming?. While heading over I troll I crankbait just for fun and I pick off two trout. Once over there I'm seeing fish everywhere. From bass, to crappie, to sunfish, and to what looked like sucker fish?? Fish everywhere but couldn't connect with any, cool to see though. By now I'm hearing thunder and know I should start heading back. I fish the front of the launch real quick and get another on the neko rig. Nothing huge but good to get on a few and to see action around the lake.

Those sucker fish are sure weird little critters! Only ever see them when they spawn. Nice work!
