Headed out to Lost Lake after work for the first warm day of the year. Worked both ends of the lake with my usual Trout Magnet Slip Bobber set up.
Fishing has slowed down since I first started going there after a report tha was posted on this site about a month ago. Caught 16 stockers which is slow compared to my past outings. I lost a nice holdover which are normally 15" and pretty fat. I also caught a few Bass, one tiny one and one about 12".
There was a gentleman working the shore line for Bass and he only caught a few small ones. I was also fishing close to shore and allowed him to work insIde me as he went by. About 5 minutes after he left the area, I hear a huge splash behind me and catch the aftermath. I figured it was a huge Bass. About 30 seconds later another huge splash but this time it was further away from me. Then I see what it was, an Otter! He must have been dong some fishing himself. Now I know why it has slowed down at this lake.
