Fished for 3 days on 4 different occasions. Ended up with 3 fish less than 10", one of which was a Dolly. Nothing worth keeping! We tried everything; fishing in the evening and in the morning, red and green careys, deers hare on sinking tip and sinking line (no real surface action), rooster tails, Dick Nites and even resorted to some still-fishing with both Power Bait and Power Worms.
The water seemed fairly warm for what I remember being pretty darn cold in years past. I judge this by the number of swimmers that I saw this year (usually don't see any due to the bone-chilling glacier run-off). As usual, the lake was up and down, which made fishing in front of Colonial Creek Campground at the Thunder Creek inlet very difficult due to the "low tides". Frequent snags on the bottom and one grounding as well as lots of floating debris (natural).
Maybe will have to try this lake earlier in the year.
