I moved to Orcas a couple of weeks ago and I am very excited to try out the new fishing opportunities in the area! I have never fished Cascade Lake before, so this was more of an exploration trip than anything else. I parked down at the south end of the lake and walked the trail up towards Rosario. Fished mostly around the bridge that divides the shallower portion of the lake from the deeper parts. I ended up going 1/3 today and all the trout came on the deeper side of the lake. I would have rated this a solid 5 had I landed those other two!! The picture is of the first fish I got. I would say it was around 8 ish inches and super chunky. Hoping to get a boat at some point to really start getting after them!
