got there at around 6 or 7 pm and started fishing of the left side of the lake. caught 7 bluegills, a crappie and 2 largemouths, only kept a largemouth and 2 bluegills.
next day we woke up and caught about 20 more. bluegill and crappie seem to be the main fish on this lake. across the lake on a point (which is on private property...) some people were ilegally fishing and caught about 20 rainbows. the owner saw them and they got caught but they were back the next day. overall this lake is a good place to take your son or daughter for a good first fishing trip. worms are best for crappie, bluegill, and bass. powerbait seems to catch the trout, although i didnt catch one. WATCH OUT FOR RATTLESNAKES! i saw 2 in the day and a half i was there and my buddy saw 3. turtles are also a problem there. watch out if you have a stringer because they will come up and take a big bite out of a fish or even take yur stringer if its not secured. also if you happen to hook one try not to kill it because they are protected.
