The BB of BL have another boat to cruise around and strike fear into the pescatorial world--- its name is "The Doghouse" and THAT requires a lengthy explanation (not here, though!) We launched about 6:15 a.m. and unlike our previous excursions---we stayed between the boat launch and the power lines because we saw that, due to the 71-degree water (my fishing buddy got a new fish-finder that displays water temperature), the fish were staying at mid-depth. There may have been a temperature "seam" at that depth and the fish liked it. Since rainbows and cutthroats are such notorious at feeding at leisure, we dragged our lures at the depths they seemed to like and CAUGHT 'em. During one attempt, my buddy had a fish fight so hard that his fishing pole BROKE. Really. No kidding. We have the darndest luck at Badger, from fish, to bees (see last year---that was US) to fishing lures, to breaking fishing poles. WE LOVE TO FISH AT BADGER---lotsa stories to tell...
