I finally fished the chilliwack river for the first time today. Twitching jigs, went 1/3 on sockeye and 0/1 on chinook. Also swung up a little rainbow on a spoon. There were plenty of fish showing in most of the holes. The bite was limitted to 6am-9am despite perfect weather and flow/vis conditions. Had a good time and managed to find some solitude after bushwacking and wading a ways. The one sockeye i caught was kept in the water and released with care. Jigs that got action were 3/8oz baby blue and 3/8oz claret scented with sandshrimp oil.
