Decided to get an early start so i made it to the creek at the crack of noon lol. Sun high in the sky, not a single cloud to be soon. Low clear water... My first thought was "crap, looks like a skunking waiting to happen" so i fished anyway, not 15 minutes into walking the creek i hooked and landed my first of the day, a nice chunky 12" cutty, i walked the creek for another hour before i got my next take, from there i hit fish in every hole from that point up, and ended up going 4/7 and missed who knows how many short strikes. Most fish were 8"-12" today, im guessing the resident fish started to become active with the uptick in recent temps. Lots of salmon fry in the side water, my fly was a #6 white uv leech with a gold bead head (best immitates a small minnow, or coho fry) i saw a couple guys get skunked on worms in a run, then i fished my fly behind them and pulled out 2 trout on the same run lol.
