Fished out of Boyer Park, trying for Steelhead. Counts are still low but I was chomping at the bit. Started at 7:00 am fished all day and only caught one wild chinook. Saw lots of fish jump and surface but couldn't get any to take my offerings. I used Mag Wigglewarts trying several colors, also tried the smaller ones with no luck. I'll keep watching the counts and yes I'll be back.

Thanks for the comment First light, I was hoping more people would comment so we would all be able to contribute. I went back down last week for the day with 1700 fish going over the dam, never had a hit. Marked a lot of fish. I trolled several different colors and sizes of Wigglewarts, and Vibrax, all of which have work in the past. I tried using in line weights and down rigger, also tried a side planer. There were only a couple other boats who tried for short periods but caught nothing I could see. At 4:30 I got off the water with several boats putting in for night fishing, maybe that's the key. I also live a couple hours away (Deer Park) so if you go down I'd like to hear from you. Good Fishing!

Night fishing with Brads Lighted Plugs seems to be the ticket. I have a few but haven't had a chance to use them.
I'm making ready for the haul to Boyer. Double checking wheel bearings, and perhaps a new set of tires for the trailer.
I'm in Colville and don't want a flat between here and the Snake, or on the way home.
Keep yur tip up!

First Light Funny you should say that I did have a flat on my trailer on the way home from Boyer. Not fun at 9:00 at night, at least it happened on the freeway stretch between Frey and highway 2 it has a wide shoulder so my trucks tinker toy jack was fairly stable. Destroyed my fender and lights and tire. I'm thinking I'll start keeping my speed down a notch or two from now on.
