It's been a while since I last posted, mainly because there was nothing to really add to an awesome fall fishery. But the same may be true for this. Brothers and dad jumped into the boat at Charbeneau park. Trolled 3.5s and wigglers down Burbank side, then Pasco, then back up Burbank side again. It wasn't until then that we got our only fish, wild average 5 lb-ish, it hit the 3.5 in pink. The guys on the jetty and retirement row had nothing to add to the report, but as we loaded up one guy about half way down the jetty asked the area code to tag one. I told my dad this was typical winter fishing, he still is bummed that a guy can't troll the dam with fat wraps and mag warts to pick up a couple like "the old day."
I wanted to throw something else odd out there. I was doing the same troll pattern a week ago Friday and we hooked a few fish and one was a SILVER. However it was near silver but I was shocked how decent condition it was in. I have hooked big nooks in January at Mcnary before but never a coho. Has anyone else ever encounter this on the Snake or Mid-Columbia? Late moving coho? Local spawner?
