Had another good morning out on the bank of the Snake. I went to the same spot I hooked into a hatchery fish the day before and gave it a few hours. No luck there, so I started moving again. I prefer to move around, I only give a spot 15 minutes before I'm moving. Thats just me though. I talked to a local guy who swears by the same spot, same bait, same socks, same everything eveytime he goes out.
I was in my 4th or 5th spot of the morning when my rod had a hit. I waited this time for the rod to take a deep and extended dip before I set the hook. I was rewarded with a Jack chinook of hatchery origin. Little guy faught like crazy but the hook was perfect in the corner of the mouth.
I was using the chartreuse spin-n-glo again. tipped with both eggs and shrimp this time.
I didn't have any other action for the rest of the morning.
I went out in the evening agian (you are allowed to keep Jacks and continue fishing until an adult chinook is retained) but the water was very muddy and full of debris. No luck keeping the line free of this debris.
