Had some time for an after work evening of fishing. Water is warming up, fish were on the bite though not red hot. Caught one walleye at 4 lbs 10 oz on a square bill crank bait. Caught a handful of bass, only two of which were keeper size. Caught them on curly tail grubs and also the square bill. Fish were in 8 to 10 feet of water, some bass tucked right into shoreline pockets. Also hooked two carp on the curly tail grubs. They were scented with crawfish oil, so maybe this is why, but they definitely hit it and were hooked in the mouth. The first one I thought was a trophy walleye so I played it for about 10 minutes. Came in around 10 lbs, and was actually fun to fight though not desirable for the dinner plate for me. The other I cranked in a bit quicker, weighed in at 7 lbs. Water temps were around 56 degrees, so bass should really be picking up. The ones I kept were full of eggs. Good times, good weather, its heating up here quick. Almost 90 today and forecast for 90 tomorrow!

definitely looks like a mirror, I guess it's a possible mutation in common carp. I hope so and not a separate population.
