Went up to Ayers Boat Basin, and fished all night for catfish. Caught two channel cats (roughly 3 and 5 pounds) and two yellow bullheads (maybe a pound each). Missed several others. Not bad, but an awfully long ways to go from Tri-Cities to catch a couple of small catfish. Had a long dry period from about 10 pm to 2-3 am, which really wasn't that fun since I was tired.

Probably will try something closer to Tri-Cities next time I feel like catfish....

Well, sounds like fun, but you're right. You could get that much at "home." You are however, beating back the skunk smell. Keep whittling!

I missed a lot of fish, so my take-home wasn't what it should have been. Still, a bit disappointing, and the sizes of the fish were quite small. I think I'll try the Walla Walla River next. Sure would love to have one of those evenings where you get 20-30 fish, with some of decent size.

The yellow bullheads were a bit of a surprise. It would be kinda fun to get a huge cooler full of them if they stayed in that 1 pound size range. Whenever I've run into them in numbers, they tend to be stunted and of unharvestable size, like yellow perch can get.
