This trip at Lower Granite Dam we fished for Sturgeon and Cats Friday morning thru Sunday afternoon. I had my personal best Sturgeon trip this time. There were six to seven of us at one time fishing. I obviously found a hole were they where when they felt like biting. I landed three fish and lost three fish and the last fish spooled me Sunday morning. The bite on the north side only lasted until the sun shined on that side of the river. About an hour from legal fishing time and the bite quit. We did not even get a bite the rest of the day the whole time. I was the only one to catch anything on the north side. People were catching them occasionally on the Southside up and down the river all early from what I have learned.

Tried for Channels and so did many other people and never seen or even heard of any caught (asked down at Boyer park).

After talking to many of the locals it is awfully slow for this time of year for the Sturgeon and the cats. If last year was any indication of what a deep snow pack and late arriving spring do then it will be a good month late for every thing.

Heads Up: we did see one Springer jump Saturday and a few on Sunday.
