Tried to fish at the mouth of the Kettle River yesterday to see if any Burbot, Walleye, or Pike would bite. Casted one pole with a hook and sinker with a worm to sit on the bottom and with the other pole I was casting a retrieving a couple different spoons and crankbaits. Never got a hit on either one. Only fished for about an hour and a half but it was enough time to realize that it's a bit too early to catch any fish down there. The river hasn't lowered quite enough and the current coming out of the mouth is not near strong enough either. It was fun to get out and at least try though. Sure beats wasting an afternoon sitting in the apartment WONDERING if the fish are biting instead of KNOWING. Lol.
