Rising Son Adventures switched gears this weekend and chased steelhead on the Hanford Reach. The weather was good Saturday and the fishing was decent. The primary technique for these Spring fish is to side drift bait or beads. These fish are returning to the Ringold hatchery and are staging in the waters around this section of river. We found fish on corkies, yarn, and beads. Keep baits scented with shrimp or anise oil and you will find some fish! If you are interested in this fishery, give me a call. I have limited availability and this fishery closes March 31. If I am booked, I have several other guides I work with to get you a date.
As April gets closer, it is time to think about Spring Kings! I will be fishing in the Portland Metro area April 2-6 and have seats available! Give me a call for special rates for this quick downriver fishery! Springers are undoubtedly the finest salmon to eat and are super fun to catch!.
