Went to the lake about 8:00pm with my kids. I wanted to try out a couple of new lures, that I recently purchased in Montana. They are made by Berkley, called "Frenzy", got them for a great price, Two dollars each. The Sportsman Surplus, in Missoula is where I bought them, what a great store.
Anyway, I put on the floating/diver for a few cast, too deep of a diver for where I was Fishing. So I put on the sinking one in a blue gill pattern. On the second cast I hooked up with an arnery little Largemouth. After extracting the hooks from its gills and mouth It was released to be caught another day. After spending a good deal of time helping the kids, Samantha is 5, and Cooper is 3, I was able to hook up w/ another fiesty although small, largemouth from under the dock. The kids really like to go fishing. Samantha can already cast her own pole and she gets some great distance, twenty to thirty yards. Unfortunately the water temp. is getting a little to warm by the public docks for any good trout fishing form there, but there are a lot of fish in this lake.
Good Fishin' to y'all
