Got there just after 6:30AM, temp 29F, cloudy/foggy, water temp bone chilling cold - not quite frozen, two others
already there. Left 2:00PM, temp 35F, partly cloudy. Lake level went up about 6" during the day, don't think the
water temp warmed any. 17 others fished too, only saw four caught in 7 hours - there were 28 poles in the water.
I was lucky, got one - I'm sure there have to be better days coming. Spokane arm frozen bank to bank above the
25 bridge as far as one can see. Yellow and orange seemed to be the color. No hits on worms - most hits on the
little yellow gulp balls - fish seemed to just noodle the bait, no strong hits - has to be the cold water temp, which
won't be going away for at least the next 10-12 days according to the latest forecasts. Best clean and oil reels
and get ready for some Koke action when the ramps open up.
