I took Glenn out for a relaxing day of walleye fishing, at least compared to China Bend the day before, on the Spokane Arm. We motored upriver to the buoy five area and did a little trolling with crankbaits; that was a little slow as we only boated 2 keeper eyes and 3 rainbows so we reluctantly started jigging. Although our arms were just about worn out from the day before we caught another 18 eyes with Glenn catching 2 nice ones. One was 23 inches and the other was a 26 inch 6 1/2 lb female, both were released. We kept 13 eaters. There are a lot of crayfish in the upper part of the river so whatever color you are using should resemble them. Those little buggers kept grabbing on to my jig as it swept by in the current. I actually had a couple hang on all the way to the boat.
