We had a fantastic morning today on the Columbia River near John Day Dam! I only had one customer in the boat today but we went 2-4 and had our limit by 6am! Our success came on maglip 4.5 plugs in Orange, and Maglip 5.0 in a customer rainbow/fickle pickle pattern that is only found at Fishermans Marine in Portland.

We also found that most of our bites the past 2 days have come from tuna wrapped plugs. We are taking canned Tuna in oil and wrapping the belly of our Maglips and Kwicks. Tuna directly from the can was key, as for some reason adding extra scents has not been effective. This as usual will probably change toomorrow, but it's a good starting point. If you do decide to scent things up there is nothing finer than Super Dipping Sauce.

I have openings the next 3 days and will continue to fish the Snake after the Columbia closes this weekend. Give me a call at 208-861-0654 to get in on the great action.
