This report basically applies to all of February. It's been a tough month on Lake Roosevelt for shore fishing. In fact, since the start of the new year, I've caught 2 fish. One Burbot and one Rainbow. I've been hearing that it's slowed down for everyone since the Lake started dropping. Talked to a guy yesterday who said that he's been catching the Rainbows on the surface of the water. Around 12' deep. So looks like I'll be trying some bobber fishing and see if that does anything. Luckily I'm patient and persistent when it comes to fishing. Heading out now for a Sunday morning fish near Hunters. Wish me luck!

I fish out of a boat now, I use to fish a lot from shore..When it gets like that I would fish shallow sand bars and move my slip rig to as much as 6 feet in length..Hope that helps..They are shallow right now, running 4-15 foot deep..They are moving closer to shore every week, it will get better soon..

I should of said shallow sand bar that has deep water on each side, that will work good when they are running shallow..

Yeah I think I'm just gonna get my boat out and try hitting the walleye up near Kettle. Hear they'be been slaying them up there. Snow is almost melted enough in my yard to get up to the boat and clean her up. Looking forward to it.

We hit ft Spokane 2 weekends ago landed 5 rainbows avg 18" lost 2 others. Just west of the bridge. It was a wet day and we seemed to get them in between rain showers.

Between Daisy and Gifford the bank fishing has been slow, but rainbow power bait over a corky about 2' off the sinker was working for some guys I know. With the wind lately, I'm not doing much fly fishing!
