The kokanee bite on Lake Roosevelt is on. Targeted areas around Spring Canyon and Swawilla Basin on July 1st and was not disappointed. The kokanee are running at 35-40 feet down in water depths of 200-250 feet.

Mack's Lure Cha Cha Kokanee rigs in pink and orange were the ticket. Also finding great numbers of rainbows on the surface first thing in the morning.

Speed for the kokanee was 1.5-1.8 mph, and also picked up rainbow at that speed using a Rapala Shad Rap straight behind the boat.

I have days open in July so be sure to give me call to get on this fantastic Kokanee fishery.
