Glenn, Chris and I launched out of Kettle Falls at 0700 and headed upriver to Singer Bay. We worked the left side of the channel with jigs from 40 FOW to 80 FOW and could only catch dinks so we headed further upriver to the Marcus area. We jigged both sides of the channel with jigs and had our best luck in 25 FOW to 40 FOW. The total for the day was about 50 eyes with 36 going in the livewell. Size wise they averaged 16-19 inches and were very picky about what they wanted to hit. Glenn did very well in the morning with Chris and I not doing a very good job as designated catchers; the afternoon was a switch with me having the best luck. Jig color didn't matter as much as the size of the plastic; in this case they wanted large swimbaits especially if they were trout colored. As a matter of fact we had 2 in the livewell spit up 4 inch trout so as they say match the hatch. We finally got chased off of the water at about 1600 by thunderstorms. No pictures because we didn't catch anything big and also I forgot my camera.
