Three of us drove the 35 mile dirt/gravel road to the north end of ross lake and dropped our boat in the water. We were rigged up with pop-gear and flies and headed out. We didn't have to go more than 100 yds away from the boat launch and I reeled in a 12 3/4" rainbow (a somewhat tricky task for I am not use to the barbless hooks). It was just shy of the minimum length of 13" so we let it go. We trolled the Canadian border and then ventured into the middle of the north end and then down to the mouth of a creek (hozomeen creek I believe) and then back in front of the boat launch. In 2 1/2 days of fishing the three of us collectively brought over 75 fish into the boat. Not nearly that many were keepers, but they were all in the 11-12" range if they weren't keepers. Most amazing fishing I have ever experienced; I will definately be going back next year!
