Had to redeem myself after a Koke-less outting with my brother on Sat.

Fished alone today, easy drive from Coulee to Spring Canyon.

Poles in the water at 7am.

Side planner, small dodgers, Macks smile trpe lure on one rode, Squider on the other, pinks and purples.

The smile lure caught the 1st Koke and my 1st this season, and honestly my 1st in years as I had not really fished for them in years. Spunky wild fish.

Then came a bow, and same sure.

Moved to the south side near the dam and hooked into a fish with some real backbone. My biggest koke ever, 19" and some change. Gave a great fight, another wild one.

Then came my last fish another bow.

Changed gear trying to find bows as I already had to wild fish and would have been sad to have to relase another big fish.

I guess the bite turned off, and the snow showed up so I called it a day just before 10.

Light breeze, 32 air temp.

Tolled via gps 1.8-2.2mph

Looking forward to next weekend.

I got a Koke like that a few weeks ago up by Lincoln and it really got me pumped up as did your picture. Confess to being greedy, I want more!
Thanks for posting.
