I launched at Crescent Bay at 10:00. It was overcast with a slight breeze. Temp. in the upper 30's or low 40's. I was fishing out of my 14' Livingston. First fish about 10:30 on the orange Rapala. The next 7 fish came to the orange Kekeda! I was flat lining the Rapala 185' back. I had the Kekeda on the mini-downrigger from 15 to 25'. The weight on my downrigger is too small for the speed I was trolling. I was dealing with a lot of blowback. Like, 45 degrees or flatter. So, I was dropping it 25 to 45 cranks. I tried multiple other offerings on the surface line that did not produce. I stopped C&R and kept my fifth fish at around 13:30. I drove home listening to the Hawks. It was a good day out. I got to scratch that itch!!!

Great catch! I used to fish that area when I lived in Coulee Dam and have had to go into Eden Harbor just to keep from getting blown into the rocks. It can get nasty. Glad you were able to get them. Thanks for the report. -Dave

Hey Dave, I did a couple loops in and out of Eden Harbor. But, no love there. The best bite was out over deep water.
Hey Alan, The Kekeda flies are worth every cent. I really have to hit a window in the weather being out there topless. I'm lucky the forecast was correct. I saw your report of rain, rain & rain on Saturday.

I want to know how you got my thermos. The handle is the same as mine as are the dents! Maybe mine has a bit of expoxy holding the handle together. lol
Nice bunch of fish! I hope to some day participate in that fishery.

What is the best place to find the Kekeda flies? I'm in Kennewick and am having problems finding any. What are other colors you like and any other favorite ways to catch em? T
Thanks for the report!

Hey TheMacPac4, Kekedatackle is online. Dave Browning is the owner. He is in Spokane and ships promptly. He is also a sponsor of this site. The Perch pattern, and or pink are a couple of "go to" colors. Jointed or regular Rapalas flat lined, 4/0 dodger & wedding ring. In the past I've plunked power bait from shore where my boys could stretch their legs and not be confined.
