We arrived at Kettle Falls on Thursday the 19th for the annual Mens Retreat. We camped at the Locust Grove group campsite. There were about 65 men and a dozen boats or so. Not every one fishes but we had a good group out each day through Sunday the 22nd to fish walleye. The fishing was slow due to the fish being post spawn and the water level just reaching full pool. We caught 6 or seven fish each day using a variety of bottom bouncers. They were nice fish making great eaters.
We had some wind Saturday afternoon blowing up river......great boat ride in the HUGE waves. Watch out for the wood!
I rated this a 4 because of the great time, nice weather Saturday night steak feed and good fish even though not plentiful.
Tight lines everybody and happy Fourth!
PS Dave tied some great Kekeda fly tackle for me to try out on the walleye. I got there and it was not in the box....oh no! I found it under my chair when I got home. Rats!! Will have to give it a run later; sorry about that Dave.
