Well, admittedly it was a "2" kinda day, but it was so pleasurable fishing with the eternal fishinChristian and the immortal Jiggy (LOL), that I added a star. The ostensible excuse was to try above McNary for perch, but ended up a Murder She Wrote search for smallmouth bass (the one species that cooperated, albeit highly reluctantly)....

Tough day. Initially, I was excited to (finally) see a day where the McNary area wasn't an Air Force airplane testing wind tunnel. Unfortunately, the conditions may have been a bit too perfect. Mirror surface. That plus a "first wet test of the outboard year" gone awry.

Caught a few smallmouth bass (nothing stupendous, but eating size), and a few ~12" salmon smolts (released unharmed .... obviously).

As I noted, a pretty tough day of fishing. But watching Jiggy and fishinChristian work their art under difficult conditions was particularly educational and fun!!
