Launched out of Kettle at 0730 this morning and headed upriver. We had a limit by 0930 but stayed on the water till about 1400. The total catch for the day was 64 eyes and 1 whitefish. Average size we kept was about 17 inches with the largest of the day at 19 inches. Nothing huge but all good eaters. Blade baits were the ticket early and then we switched to jigs. The color of the jig didn't really seem to matter and the depths ranged from 16' to 34' FOW. It was sunny, windy. rainy and still a good day on the water. With Roosevelt refilling there are a lot of trees floating down the river. I would not suggest being on the water before it gets light, the trees we saw were as long as 30 ft. The pictures I included are of the conditions this morning and what 64 fillets look like in gallon size zip locks.

Now is a great time to fish Kettle if you want to fill your freezer. We headed up river near Singer Bay and were fishing the left side river channel edge in about 35 FOW.
