Glenn and I launched out of Kettle Falls and went up river to Singer Bay. We fished both sides of the river channel and picked up a few eyes jigging the channel edge in 31-34 FOW. The eyes were not very active, we tried several different back eddies and current lines with few results. The majority of fish we caught were in the main current and were reaction bites, this also meant we had to use heavy jigs (5/8) to maintain contact with the bottom. Throughout the day we traveled from the mouth of the Colville up to Evans in search of eyes. The total for the day was 20 eyes, we kept 13 that were between 16-18 inches. All were caught on jigs with a 5 inch chartreuse tailed worm working best. Water temp was 45 deg and visibility was about 3 feet.

Hi Mark, lake level report shows Rosie at 1240.40'. How did you find the launch ramp at Kettle, a little room left? Think I could drop in on Saturday? Thnx, Mtngrizz
Looks like it's dropping pretty steady. Last time down I went in at Ft. Spokane - now closed. Thnx

Kettle Falls ramp is supposed to be open down to 1234' so it should still be open this weekend. Lots of current and heavy jigs will probably be the order of-the-day if you go.

Soberg,
We went out on Monday and got our butts kicked on Long. The tally for 5 hours on Monday afternoon was 2 perch and one squaw dog. We also talked to other gentlemen who had been out all day and all they caught were two perch as well. Long has definitely been tough this winter and spring. It can only get better.

Thanks Mark.... I did not make it fishing at Little Falls. I headed that way and tried Sunser Bay for a cappie or two. Not even a bump. Then the weather got real nasty and I decided to say to hech with it. Good luck..... See ya on the water.
