Brother and law and I took his boat out to Ft. Spokane. There were a few boaters out, but we were surprised how few on a Saturday. Maybe it was due to opening day of late season or something. We were on the water at 7:40.

We caught em' early and often. Biggest fish looked to be in the 4-5 lb class 20+ inches with a few of the 17-18 inch fish. The rest were the standard 14-15 inchers.

We caught em on perch pattern, and pink hoochie all tipped w/ worm. By 10:00, we were loaded up and heading to Porcupine Bay to take a stab at the Walleye and Burbot.

We got to above buoy 5 at 11:50, and jigged the s curve on down for a few hours with little success. We moved down to buoy 5 at about 2 and fished till 4. We caught 5 dink Walleye and 2 burbot with a number of misses. We were jigging and using blades. All bights came with the worm. No particular color seemed to matter, but fishing was slow.

All in all a wonderful day of fishing. It was sunny till about 3, then started to sprinkle as we were pulling in at 4:30. Couldn't beat it.

Nice report and pictures! We talked about going to buoy 5 Saturday, but the weather was a bit rougher across from Lincoln earlier in the day so glad we didn't. The fact I forgot to put the spinning rods on the boat prior to launching didn't help either. The trout fishing is simply on fire right now, you have to work to NOT catch them. :-)
