wow ! Night fishing for walleye is hot right now on the upper columbia. caught 5 18 to 16 inchers in an hour or so from shore throwing perch shad raps. Also hooked some with shad style jigs tipped with part of a crawler. This happens every year right before deer season starts. Fish rocky edges near deep water and weed beds where you find perch fingerlings the walleye gorge on them preparing for winter. Oh and don't bother fishing before the sun sets. It seems they move in as the light dwindles soon you can catch them right at your feet. Its very exciting when you actually see a walleye hit! As it gets dark you won't see them any more but they are still there and usually ambush right at a rock wall even had one hit my shadrap as I lifted it from the water! But beware, the bite only lasts an hour or two then you can't buy a fish. So two hour drive from spokane two hours fising two hour drive back five fat walleye in the freezer.
