What a great day to be on the water fishing for Kings. First time fishing for Salmon(yes I know it's a sad thing but unfortunately true) and first time to the Buoy 10 area for me. Never seen so many boats in the water at 6:30 am either. My good buddy Brandon took me on his boat and showed me how to do it. The bite was strong from about 10-12, he hooked two which broke his leader both times and then hooked a 27 lb Chinook, the fight was good and netting it was a great adrenaline rush for myself. We stayed out until 7 pm hoping for a King for myself but the bite went dead. We still saw people bringing them in but it was very rare after about noon. I can't wait until next year and we learned valuable information on this trip.

what was your setup? I see green lure/trolling... Hootchie behind a flasher?

Using an 11" green Big Al's fish flash with cut plug herring about 4' behind, I think my buddy called it back bouncing or something, my terminology might be off.
