I just had to say that the Smallmouth Bass fishing has been smokin' hot on the Mid Columbia this year with my friends and fishing brothers tearing the Smallies up off of the bank and in the boat from Plymouth to Sundale. I recently hit some big girls over 3 pounds down by Crow Butte, but my buddies Adam Jeminez, Mike Pena and Rogelio Chavez have been knocking the bass dead all week using my Custom poured 3.5" Matador Sculpin jigs and the hot 3" Stone Dragun Stone fly larvae imitation I design. Mike Pena of Grandview has been popping some big walleyes with those sculpin jigs and off the bank no less! The hot jig colors have been Smallie Killer, Rock fish and Smokey Joe all wth a chartruse tail fished mostly on 1/16th and 1/8th oz jig heads and swam along rocky points, gravel bars and current eddies. Rogelio recently put over 100 bass on the bank, C+ R for one of his best days fishing ever using the Smallie Killer colored Stone Dragun Nymph. I hope to make it down there again before the Memorial Day mayhem. Tight lines and thanks guys for field testing those new colors for me! Jiggy
