Beautiful day out on Porcupine, warm and sunny with no wind plus a limit of Walleyes. Launched and headed over to Laphams where my buddy Glenn and I caught 10, only 4 were keepers (16-18in) the others ranged in size from 5in to 12in. Jigs, blades and dragging a worn on the bottom all worked. The fish were very scattered so a guy just needs to cover a lot of water. Next we tried Blue Crick with no luck. We then headed down river to an area near McCoys where we finally found a good concentration of Walleyes. We worked one stretch (about 100') where we caught 26 more Walleyes, 2 Burbot and 1 smallie. All were caught on jigs tipped with half a night crawler or on a drop shot with a power minnow. Avacado green with metal flakes was the ticket. Depth varied from 40-60'. Kept a limit of fish between 15-18in, perfect eating size. We had lots of worm stealing bites from little guys as well. All in all a great way to spend a day with your buddy and mother nature.
