Got to the water a good hour before sunrise. Used some rigs I'd tied up from all the recommendations here on the reports and in some local newspapers. 12"-15" heavy leaders, double d dodgers, pink squids, shrimp, fished 15' down and 15' back, etc etc. Nothing but two bites taking our bait. We tried changing depths, scents, baits, etc. No loving today, but I suppose when you've got 100 boats out there someone has to strike out. Wasn't much combat today although there was what appeared to be one guy shouting obscenities at another boater for hooking his line.
There was a lot more action out there then the last time we went out back in July when the weather was shotty. Saw someone taking a fish at least every 15 minutes and there was a local guide service who was doing in my opinion exceptionally well compared to other guides and anglers. We didn't see anything of size being taken, not sure the biggest king we saw was even over 9 pounds. Whenever they pulled up their rigs we saw nearly a mirror match of what we had on.
Guess there's always next year!
