Brother in laws made the trip up to Northport again. We left spokane at 4:00 this morning and were greeted to 4" of snow on the way up. Got to Northport at 6:30 and had lines in the water by 7:00. We fished 5 locations from Northport to the Canadian border. We ended up at North Gorge, and fished there for 1 hour. Fishing was tough. We used worms on bottom with 1.5 oz of lead and swivel with 24" of leader. We used worms under slip float with varying depths between 5-15'. We used all maner of soft plastics at varying depths and speeds. Between 3 of us we ended with 3 solid stikes, One of those that brother in law was practicing c&r, and it came unbuttoned at the shore. He swears it was a 3# buety. I just don't think he wanted to get his hands wet.
Pretty tough outing. Water was way down from december. During the day, it did the standard 1-3' drop and raise.
