Something sure turned the fishing off. In 4 days of fishing, we caught 4 fish. Granted, we didn't fish very hard, but with all the HOT fishing reports from guides and advertisers, one would think it would be relatively easy. We covered spots from Benson Springs to Chief Joe's can line, with jigs, dough baits, dodgers, worms, and all kinds of cranks. Sunday morning we did get three, and other folks reported catching more fish as well. Nobody we talked to during Thurs-Sat was catching anything, so we didn't feel so bad. The kids had a great time at any cove or beach we hit, and the cold water didn't dampen their enthusiasm for riding the tube behind the boat. Bridgeport State Park is a great place to stay and made for a super 4-day weekend.

I would bet the water level is dropping. It is on Roosevelt and the fishing tends to sour when they start draining the pool.

Correction: According to the lake level report lake level is stable at Roosevelt. So much for my analysis. LOL
