Filled up with Gas, (OUCH!!) and headed to Spring Canyon. Started out really nice, few clouds, and calm. W/Temp. was around 45 degrees, if am remembering correctly, then headed for the basin to start, and trolled looking for rainbows and silvers, Found a few Silvers and then they shut off, so we decided to make this trip an exploring trip to see what all we could catch. Went for Walleye and found some of them, and then a ling cod. We had us a great mixed bag for our catch by 2pm and then decided to go give Banks Lake a try. Pulled out as it started to rain, and went and ate lunch. Put in at Playland, to find a few more walleye, and a really nice rainbow. The weather took it's toll on us, but we made it and had a blast. Just turned out a little wet and cold. To end the day we had four diffrent species in our bag to filet. Will be heading out again this week, to capitalize on the Walleye. We found them in good numbers and willing to bite, and only fished for them less than an hour. My advise! Slow down your troll!! When you think your going slow enough, slow down some more! Going against the current was better to manage your speed, to where you are hardly even moving, but your blade is still moving.
Good luck!
