After a long dry spell of trips to Roosy, we finally set aside a whole day to go. We made it to Spring Canyon by about 7 a.m., and were fishing by 730. It was a beautiful but chilly morning, so we decided to cover some ground. We found a nice drop off near Keller and were getting the boat and rods organized. I had one rod rigged up so I made a cast and started jigging. My partner was then ready to fish so we were going to reposition. BAM, fish on. Nice eater walleye as shown in the pic (we hadn't even dug out the camera yet!). First cast! We spent the rest of the day filling our limit of walleye, keeping a couple burbot incidentally. After our limits, we trolled Rapalas and picked up two real nice rainbows before calling it a day around 6 pm. So, all told we had 20 fish, of three different species. The weather was phenomally nice given the recent patterns. Water temp on the surface was 37. Tonight will be baked walleye for dinner! The Luck O' the Irish was with us today!
