Made the trek to Roosevelt on Saturday to find some trout and maybe a kokanee. Launched at Lincoln mid morning and went down reservoir towards sterling point. Not much luck hitting the usual haunts in that stretch, even tried some deeper water looking for kokes with no luck. We did see a herd of bighorn sheep straight across from the launch and wasted a little time watching them with the binos.

Motored down across from the white rock area and started finding fish. We were consistantly into fish all along the north side. Not as much size as I would have liked, but a few 2+ pounders. Had good luck with apexes in orange and purple, and the rig of the day that produced the most fish was a hand tied green fly behind a wobble disc tipped with crawler. (aka the "money fly" as named by my buddy that ties them and was using one to haul fish into the boat)

Water temp was 36, and the wind was light in the morning and calm later. The sun even peeked through the light clouds and fog a few times to warm us up. Great day to be fishing, just wish the lake was a little closer.
